Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled new climate measures on Friday, including announcing that the federal carbon tax in provinces without their own emissions reduction plans would keep rising until 2030.
The new climate plan is an effort to bring Canada’s environmental policies closer in line with European allies and meet its net-zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2050.
New funding for green vehicles and infrastructure are also part of the plan. Eric Sorensen reports.
