Winnipeg, a city already dealing with a record-high number of homicides, is reeling from the news an alleged murderer was preying on Indigenous women.

The accused, Jeremy Skibicki, is facing three new charges of first-degree murder after he was initially arrested on May 18 in the death of Rebecca Contois. As Melissa Ridgen explains, victims' families are demanding the accused also be hit with hate crime charges.
