Extent of raw sewage in waters around Britain revealed

Raw sewage flowed into the waters around Britain for almost two million hours last year.

Over 300,000 sewage spills were recorded in 2022.

That's a reduction on the year before, but that was largely down to below-average rainfall, rather than any particular action taken by water companies.
