More than 3,000 people have died of COVID 19 in India in the last 24 hours, a new record for the country. This makes India only the fourth country in the world after the United States, Brazil and Mexico to cross 200,000 deaths during the coronavirus pandemic. This at a time, that India added more than one million cases in just the past week alone. The reality of these deadly numbers plays out in India's hospitals and medical facilites daily. Stretched to the limit, they are running out of supplies, primarily oxygen. People desperate for assistance have turned to social media. Pleas for help are being posted and those who can, are responding with information on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
