EU leaders agree on Belarus sanctions after journalist’s arrest

European Union leaders have agreed to a set of sanctions against Belarus after a jet was forced to land and a dissident journalist was arrested.
Belarus' national airline has been banned from entering the EU airspace and billions of dollars of European investments in the country have been frozen.
EU leaders have demanded that Roman Protasevich, a key critic of authoritarian Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, be released immediately.
