The leader of the main center-right group in the European Parliament has spoken to DW about migration and the rise of the far right in Europe. The EPP’s Manfred Weber has spoken out in favour of a controversial EU-Tunisia agreement, part of which is supposed to reduce irregular migration across the Mediterranean. His comments come as EU countries remain in talks to reach a deal on a new asylum and migration policy for the bloc.
