DUP: Biden 'not here to interfere' or 'apply any pressure'

Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, the leader of the DUP, has told Sky News that he welcomes US President Joe Biden's trip to Belfast, and the country recognises the US is Northern Ireland's "closest ally".

However, he also pointed out that Mr Biden had said it was for the leaders in Northern Ireland to make decisions about its future, saying: "He is not here to interfere. He made that clear and to be honest he didn't seek to apply any pressure."
