Former Vice President and Democratic nominee Joe Biden said countries that have reportedly initiated campaigns to influence U.S. elections -- including China, Russia and Iran-- are "interfering with American sovereignty" and will "pay a price."

During the final presidential debate held on Oct. 22, Biden said that President Donald Trump should be doing more to speak out against foreign election interference, citing reports that the president was warned by intelligence officials that his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani was the target of Russian influence. A Washington Post report found that in 2019, the White House was warned that Giuliani was "being used to feed Russian misinformation" to Trump. "I don't understand why this president is unwilling to take on Putin," Biden said.

The debate took place in Nashville, Tennessee, with less than two weeks to go until Election Day.
