Around 400 bodies have been found after floods and landslides hit two villages in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo last week.
Previously 200 dead were reported following torrential rainfall on Thursday
In several villages close to the shore of Lake Kivu, villagers have been digging through the mud with their hands in a desperate search for missing relatives.
Bodies are being wrapped in blankets and piled up in Bushushu and Nyamukubi.

Al Jazeera’s Katia Lopez-Hodoyan reports.
