A fossilised dinosaur leg and fish discovered in North Dakota are believed to have died at the same time an asteroid struck earth 66 million years ago.

The asteroid is believed to have ended the reign of the dinosaurs and brought about the rise of mammals on our planet.

Professor Phil Manning, Director for the Interdisciplinary Centre for Ancient Life at the University of Manchester, has been working on the discovery for eight years
