Researchers continue to dig up new clues surrounding Sir John Franklin's doomed 1845 Arctic expedition. All 130 members of the expedition died in a failed mission to find the Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Now, for the first time ever, one of the mission's long lost sailors, John Gregory, has been identified after researchers linked his DNA with his living descendant.

Eric Sorensen explains how it's helping bring alive the story of what's believed to be the greatest loss of life in the history of polar exploration.
