Des Ki Baat - September 7, 2021: Farmers held a march from the grain market in Haryana's Karnal to the district offices to protest the August 28 lathi charge. In their way are security forces tasked by the state to stop them, potentially setting up another violent clash. Earlier talks between 11 farmer leaders and district officials - over permission for the march - failed. Administration offices in Karnal became the site of the big face-off between farmers and the police. Water cannons were used as farmers breached barricades, intending to gherao the mini-secretariat.
