Des Ki Baat: Farmers Unions Hold National Convention To Mark 9 Months Of Protest

Des Ki Baat - August 26, 2021: Farmers' body Samyukt Kisan Morcha's national convention at Singhu border in Delhi to mark nine months of protest against farm laws began on Thursday. Tens of thousands of farmers have been protesting since November last year, seeking repeal of laws they fear will eliminate the MSP (Minimum Support Price) system and leave small and marginal growers at the mercy of big corporations. The government, however, has insisted the laws are beneficial and has refused to roll them back. (Audio in Hindi)
