Delhi's air quality continues to remain in the "severe" category. The air quality index is currently at 490. In the areas near the national capital, an AQI of 496 has been reported in Gurgaon, and 485 in Faridabad. The thick haze that has engulfed Delhi-NCR has also reduced the visibility. This comes at a time when medical experts have been saying that pollution makes people more susceptible to Covid; the coronavirus cases in the city are on a rise. The national recorded its highest daily spike of 7,745 new cases yesterday.
