Israel’s government is planning to expand the role of the army and domestic spy agency to counter gun crime in the Palestinian-Israeli community.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett says the situation has crossed a red line with 98 people shot dead so far this year.
But activists are calling for better, more thorough policing instead.
