New details are emerging about the alleged gunman who shot and killed two people — including a Toronto police officer — before being tracked down by police.

The suspect, who died in police custody, has been identified as 40-year-old Sean Petrie, but police have said little else about the accused gunman.

Catherine McDonald has dug into the man's history and court records and reports on what she has learned, including the suspect's connection to an auto-body shop that was the scene of one of the shootings.
