Protests continued for a third night in Brooklyn Center Minnesota against the fatal shooting of a Minnesota Black man.
Demonstrators launched fireworks and threw objects at police, who deployed tear gas, non-lethal rounds, and flash-bang rounds and tried to force back the crowd, US media reported.
The death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, who was shot by a white police officer, has caused outrage in a suburb not far from where George Floyd was killed last year.
Protests continued for the third night, even as the Minneapolis police officer who shot Wright and the police chief, who called the killing an apparent accident, resigned in the face of civil unrest.
Alan Fisher reports from Brooklyn Center, in the US state of Minnesota.
