Fruit and veggies are supposed to be the healthy option. But up until 2010, Australia's fruits and vegetables were sprayed with chemicals that are considered so dangerous, they're banned around the world. Endosulfan and the fungicide carbendazim were widely used then, but has since been banned.

In 2010, Liz Hayes spent a hellish few weeks witnessing the effects of these poisons to highlight why there was a need for authorities to act on banning the use of the dangerous chemicals.
