The prime minister has unexpectedly indicated that Covid restrictions could end in England before the month is out.

The plan is that people would no longer have to isolate after testing positive.
Critics said Mr Johnson was trying to placate his party, rather than following the science.
But Downing Street emphasised there would be a review of the data before going ahead.
