COVID inquiry: Hancock defends allowing patients to be discharged into care homes

Former health secretary Matt Hancock has defended the decision to allow hospital patients to be discharged into care homes without being tested for coronavirus during the pandemic.

Speaking at the COVID inquiry, Mr Hancock said he believed if those patients had remained in hospital more would have caught the virus and "the problem could've been bigger".
