Four members from COVID bereaved families stood up in silent protest as Boris Johnson started giving evidence to the COVID inquiry, holding signs saying they did not accept his apology.

The group were then asked to leave by the inquiry's chair, Lady Hallett.

Sky's Kamali Melbourne spoke to the women outside the venue, with Michelle Rumball, whose mother died with COVID, describing Mr Johnson's apology as "empty".
