The MHRA - which authorises medicines for public use - has approved the use of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Its Chief Executive Dr June Raine outlined the 'extremely thorough and scientifically rigorous review' that the agency has gone through to approve the vaccine.
