COVID-19: Sir Keir Starmer calls for schools to reopen on 8 March

The Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, has called for all schools in England to reopen on March 8th, setting himself against education unions who have called the move reckless.

The opposition leader told Sky's Sophy Ridge: "I've been worried through the pandemic, a number of people have, about the impact being out of school has on particularly vulnerable children, and the attainment gap is getting bigger."
