COVID-19: Gove defends PM Scotland visit & says Tory MP is 'out of order'

Michael Gove has pushed back on claims from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon that the Prime Minister's planned to Scotland is "not essential".

Boris Johnson is heading north of the border on a one-day trip aimed at highlighting the value of the United Kingdom in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile Mr Gove has told Sky News Sir Desmond Swayne is "out of order" for urging anti-vaxxers to fight against government restrictions.

The Conservative MP for New Forest West also suggested NHS capacity figures were being "manipulated" to exaggerate the scale of the pandemic.
