Police have told Sky News a couple arrested after 54 days on the run initially refused to tell officers where their missing baby was.

Sussex Police said on Wednesday the remains of the child had been found in woodland in the Brighton area.

Constance Marten and Mark Gordon are being held on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
