Across England, some schools reported struggling to cope after an increased demand for key worker places.

For the country’s third lockdown, the Department for Education widened the categories of vulnerable and key worker pupils who can attend.

A recent poll for the National Education Union showed members reported 25% of primary pupils were in schools. What’s led to the increase this time round?
