Coronavirus: Moderna says vaccine effective against variants; Canada looks at travel measures

With the growing threat of more contagious coronavirus variants, the federal government is considering tougher measures to restrict who enters or leaves Canada.

As Mike Le Couteur reports, pressure is mounting on Ottawa to act quickly, especially with the delay in vaccine deliveries.

On a positive note, however, Moderna announced on Monday that its vaccine has been shown to be effective against the U.K. variant of COVID-19. But do the existing vaccines protect people from all the various variants spreading around the world?
