Cornwall's hot rocks could heat thousands of homes

The Eden Project in Cornwall is drilling nearly three miles into the Earth's crust as part of a pioneering geothermal energy project.

Scientists believe that heat contained in rocks and fluids deep underground could eventually provide up to 20% of the UK's electricity.
