On Wednesday, during the first official English debate where all six candidates for Conservative Party leadership were present, candidates disclosed their views on abortion legislation.
Pierre Poilievre, Jean Charest, Patrick Brown, Roman Baber and Scott Aitchison stated they're pro-choice and would not make abortion services illegal in Canada. Leslyn Lewis, however, opposed.
Plus, candidates Poilievre and Charest sparred over each other's previous political track records in a fiery exchange. Charest grilled Poilievre on his abortion stance, to which he responded he's pro-choice, and Poilievre probed Charest about his stances on abortion and taxes, as well as his past votes in government.
