A man has been taken to hospital after being injured on a ride at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto, Ont.

Police say they were called to the CNE grounds at Nunavut Road and Princes’ Boulevard shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday. One man suffered undisclosed but non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to hospital.

CNE officials say the ‘Polar Express’ will remain closed until the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) and third-party consultants can ensure the ride was not compromised.

The shutdown of the ride comes less than a week before the CNE draws to a close. Brittany Rosen has more.
