Thousands of retired people in the Chinese cities of Wuhan and Dalian have protested against a plan to cut their medical benefits.
Many local governments are short of funds, partly because of COVID-19 restrictions, treatments and testing.
The demonstrations are being held weeks before China's most important political gathering of the year - the National People's Congress.
