China says it opposes a US plan to force the sale of TikTok by its Chinese parent company ByteDance.
Beijing says it will take all necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of overseas Chinese companies.
It comes after the US House of Representatives passed a bill that could lead to a nationwide ban on the social media app.
