A police officer has been detained in Chile over the fatal shooting of a street performer, whom the forces shot dead on Friday.
Hundreds of demonstrators have taken to the streets in southern Chile setting alight buildings and calling for reforms over police brutality.
Human Rights Watch has condemned his killing and demanded a thorough investigation.
