Chaos escalates at Kabul airport as Afghans try to flee Taliban

Heartbreaking footage is emerging out of Afghanistan, where infants and children are being handed to troops over razor wire at Kabul's airport as Afghans continue to try and flee the Taliban following their swift takeover.

Flights were suspended for hours because of deteriorating conditions in Qatar, with reports of targeted killings in areas overrun by the Taliban mounting on Friday fuelling fears the country would return to repressive rule the group imposed when last in power.

The facility where evacuees are being taken is reaching capacity and facing overwhelmed resources. Jackson Proskow reports on the chaos, and what people on the ground in Afghanistan are saying and fearing.
