Chandigarh Mayor Election | BJP’s Manoj Sonkar Elected Mayor, Ruckus In Municipal House

After BJP's Manoj Sonkar won the Chandigarh mayor election, ruckus broke out in the Municipal Corporation House on January 30. Congress and AAP councillors accused the BJP of cheating and not following the due electoral process. Mayor Sonkar expressed his views on winning the elections and being elected for the post. He said, “The votes that we received were based on the work that we did. The work that is going on under the leadership of PM Modi, the entire world praising it. So, the country will obviously do the same thing. I thank all the councilors who voted for us. I also thank JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, PM Modi, and lastly the entire BJP family.”
