Only underutilised assets will be monetised and ownership will remain with the government, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said while unveiling the National Monetisation Pipeline plan. A cross-party delegation led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss holding a caste-based Census and called on him to take the appropriate decision. The government has called an all-party meeting on Thursday to discuss the crisis in Afghanistan. India is evacuating citizens stranded in Afghanistan and has been allowed to operate two flights per day from Kabul.
