The mayor of the South African city of Cape Town says firefighters have contained a blaze that has ravaged the slopes of Table Mountain.
Strong winds fanned the flames for more than 24 hours, destroying more than 400 hectares of land and buildings including parts of a university.
An investigation is underway to determine its cause, but it has been confirmed one suspect has been arrested accused of arson.
