Across the United States, millions of people have been told to stay inside and only go out if they have to, as smoke from wildfires burning in Canada engulfs cities and states.

Fire activity is expected to increase across parts of British Columbia with Canada experiencing its worst year on record.

Video shared by British Columbia Wildfire Service shows a fire ripping its way through the forests of Tumbler Ridge.
