Canada, U.S. at odds over digital services tax

Several countries have agreed to delay imposing a digital services tax until the end of 2024 but Canada was not one of them. The government said that Canada can move ahead with its own tax next year which has garnered staunch opposition from the U.S. The president of the Business Council of Canada Goly Hyder urges Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland to delay the implementation of a digital service tax.
