‘Now's not the time’ for digital services tax: Ontario finance minister | Power & Politics

The federal government has enacted a three per cent digital services tax that is threatening Canada’s trading relationships by taxing the revenue international firms earn in the country. U.S. Ambassador to Canada David Cohen told Power & Politics the tax is ‘discriminatory’ and the U.S. is ‘troubled’ by it. Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy also spoke to the show about why he’s calling for a pause in the tax's implementation.
