Canada sees record number of renters as millions locked out of housing market

According to a new report by RBC, Canada has seen a record number of renters, as prices of homes continue to increase. Global's Anne Gaviola spoke with The Peak Daily co-host Brett Chang about why rentership is growing at a much faster pace than homeownership — triple the rate, in fact.

Chang said this trend is "concerning" as millions of Canadians are locked out of the housing market and discusses why this is not just a problem for the millennial generation.
