Jewish groups rallied on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Monday afternoon to show solidarity with Israel and call for the release of hostages still being held by Hamas.

The rally also took aim at the wave of antisemitism that has grown since the most recent wave of violence was triggered on Oct. 7.

Thousands of people took part but it could have also been bigger — many buses hired to bring people from Thornhill, Ont. this morning did not show up.
