Millions of Afghans are on the verge of starving to death.

The UN says eight out of every nine families are going hungry.

The lack of food is the result of Afghanistan's economic crisis, and worsened by the world-wide isolation of the Taliban.

The U.S. and Western donors cut funding and blocked the Taliban from 9 billion dollars in foreign cash reserves.

Taliban leaders want those funds released.

But will this be enough to prevent disaster?
