Amid the many headlines on child sexual exploitation, adult victims of the same crimes are often forgotten. Vulnerable women, groomed and often subjected to horrific violence, are often seen as consenting to their own abuse, capable of just walking away.

Tomorrow, the government will unveil its strategy to protect women and girls from violence, but will it include adult victims of exploitation? Or as frontline workers fear, will they be overlooked once again?

We have been to meet two women, whose deeply upsetting stories are told from the start of her report. Their names and voices have been changed.
