California hit with tropical storm and earthquake

Tropical storm Hilary caused severe flooding in Mexico's Baja California Peninsula and Southern California, while concerns arose about potential flash floods reaching as far as Idaho. Additionally, a 5.1-magnitude earthquake occurred 80 miles northwest of Los Angeles, with widespread tremors and aftershocks felt in the region.
