The day after the big snowstorm in Buffalo, N.Y., the sun is shining — but about six feet of snow have fallen in the last two days and area residents are just beginning to dig themselves out.

Travel has been made even slower as transport trucks litter the streets, waiting for a major interstate highway to open back up.

The heaviest snow fell around the Buffalo Bills’ stadium in Orchard Park. Sunday was supposed to be a home game, but the team is now focused on making sure the players can get to the game’s new location — two states over, in Detroit, Mich.

Global News’ chief meteorologist Anthony Farnell has more from Buffalo.
