Buckingham Palace: Man arrested after 'shotgun cartridges' thrown

Police have arrested a man after he threw a number of items, which are suspected to be shotgun cartridges, through the gates of Buckingham Palace.

The King and Queen Consort were not in residence at the time.

The man was also carrying a "suspicious bag", which was destroyed as a precaution, police added.
