Britain's new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made his first visit to Kyiv on Saturday, pledging to continue the firm support for Ukraine that was a focus of his predecessors and providing a new air defense package to help shoot down Russian drones.

During the visit, Sunak said that Britain would provide new air defence support including 120 anti-aircraft guns, radar and anti-drone equipment. The prime minister said Britain would also increase the training it provides to Ukraine's armed forces.

During a joint news conference,, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about Russian rocket strikes on Ukraine.

"As of now about half of Ukrainian energy infrastructure has been damaged. Russia has already started to strike gas infrastructure, not just electricity," Zelenskyy said.
