Boris Johnson was invited to visit the National Covid Memorial Wall commemorates the 128,000 British people who have died since the start of the pandemic. He refused, but later it was revealed he did in fact visit the site in what Downing Street described as a 'private' visit, and a time for 'quiet reflection'.
