British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Thursday that COVID-19 vaccines would remain voluntary and he would rely on trying to persuade people to have their jabs rather than introducing mandatory vaccination policies.
He also criticized those against the vaccine, often called "anti-vaxxers," for "spouting complete nonsense" and describing their social media messages against the jab as "mumbo jumbo."
The prime minister also said he wanted to persuade people hesitant about getting the vaccines to get them, but the task was made harder by the spread of misinformation.
